Privacy & opt-out

Plain-English information about how Velvet Arcana handles website visits, business outreach and opt-out requests.

Contact / opt-out:
Email hello@velvetarcana.shop with “opt out” or “no thanks” and the relevant business/domain. I will stop contacting that business address and keep a minimal suppression record so it is not contacted again.

Who operates this site

Velvet Arcana is a small experimental service offering coffee-priced website and Google Ads audits for independent local businesses. Contact: hello@velvetarcana.shop.

Website visitors

This static website does not intentionally use analytics, advertising pixels, accounts, cookies or embedded tracking scripts. The site is hosted on a web server, so standard server logs may temporarily record technical information such as IP address, request URL, browser user agent, timestamp and error status. Those logs are used for security, debugging and basic service operation.

Business outreach

For occasional B2B outreach, I may use public business information such as business name, website URL, city, public business email address, public contact-form URL and a few website observations. The purpose is to send a short, relevant audit offer or note to a business contact.

The intended lawful basis for this limited processing, where applicable, is legitimate interests: making relevant B2B offers to public business contacts in a proportionate, low-volume way. If a contact objects or opts out, I will stop further outreach to that contact/business.

What is not collected

Sharing and processors

Information may pass through ordinary service providers needed to operate the service: web hosting, email hosting, mailbox software and basic security/logging tools. I do not sell contact lists.

Retention

Lead/outreach notes are kept only as long as useful for running the small experiment and handling replies. Opt-out/suppression records may be kept longer in minimal form so I can avoid contacting the same address or business again.
